Great hotel, room too warm to sleep in
Fine hotel, great location. Walking distance from the Royal Palace. The KAL bus stops almost in front of the hotel, which is very convenient. Beds were very good, a bit hard, but still comfortable. Pillow also nice. The toilet is a Japanese kind, but with Korean instructions only. Took us a while to figure out how to flush. Key: you have to pie sitting down, then it flushes automatically.
We were there in december, when it was -15 degrees celcius. The hotel had the heaters on, which warmed the rooms up till 30 degrees. That's way too warm to sleep in. Airconditioning was turned off because of winter, opening the window didn't cool it down, so no way to get the room on a descent temperature.

Good in the end.
Good value for money -- if you get the right room. I paid for a regular room, but got a small room with a tiny window and essentially no light. When I asked at the reception whether they had another room availably, they have me the standard room, the same all my colleagues stayed in. This room was not very large, but was bright and good value for money.
My credit card worked at the machine in the breakfast place next to the reception, and everywhere else, just not at the reception and they pretended it was my fault. They couldn't care less until I found a solution, even though the problem was clearly their machine. When I was finally able to complete the payment, they gave me a terrible room with a very small window. When I asked at the reception whether they had another room, they gave me one of their standard rooms, which was much better.

The bed is quite uncomfortable, if you request for extra amenities they all had to be charged: like hangers, water…
